Altruistic and empathetic intent, followed by intuitive and thoughtful action, equals an authentic and meaningful life.

Welcome to the website for my two books;
The Freedom to Recover & 12 Steps to Dead
The purpose of the site is basically two fold.
One is to give you a description of the books in the hopes that you will pick up a copy*** and
hopefully get something out of it.
The second is to provide a forum in which to share
constructive and insightful ideas in regards to the subject of recovery and one in which to debunk the AA myth and share experiences that prove that it has no efficacy whatsoever in overcoming dependencies.
Towards that end, I’ve included a blog in which I will introduce different topic ideas,
say my piece, and invite all to share their take.
Quite simply, AA/12 Step methodology doesn't work! At best the faith healing mantras contained within this ludicrous "program" offers a placebo effect and at worst, provides a lot of disempowering and downright dangerous messages and outcomes. There is no exit plan in this absurd model and one is falsely told that the best that they can hope to achieve is to live life as a "Recovering Alcoholic" "One day at time" for ETERNITY. Their vaunted literature even goes so far as to predict certain death for anyone who has the audacity to leave their cultish "fellowship". The fact that the majority of people who overcome dependency issues do so on their own and go on to live fulfilling and mostly happy lives proves that AA's dire predictions are nothing more than scare tactics to keep people roped into their "lifetime solution".
The truth is that alcohol dependency is not a "disease" but rather, in my opinion, a response to other conditions or issues going on in one's life. Is it easy to just stop doing what was providing some form of relief even though it wasn't terribly effective or healthy? Well no, but that's what you have to do and it comes down to making the decision to do so and then searching for and finding solutions for handling those areas that were causing one such interminable internal pain in the first place.
Just because AA/12 Step is the most widely accepted recovery option, that
does not mean that it is in the least bit effective or even remotely viable for that matter. In order
for a new paradigm in any field to be established, the old one has to be questioned
and stripped down. The old adage of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is fine if it
isn’t broken. Unfortunately AA's messages of powerlessness and surrender are a DISASTER and are beyond repair. To Hell with fixing it, it really just needs to go away.
