It’s romantic and hopeful to think that after we’ve spent our last breath in this lifetime that is doesn’t all just end. Does it? I DON’T KNOW (and neither do you)
The Christians keep his hope alive with the promises of heaven and the threat of Hell.
The Buddhists believe that we do this dance over and over again until we get it right.
The Atheists believe you die….the end
Agnostics admit that they don’t know
I DON’T KNOW (and neither do you)
So does that make me an agnostic then? I DON’T KNOW
I don’t think so because I don’t believe it’s you die….the end. Not because I’m afraid of death, not because I hope and long for an afterlife but ……because I KNOW that so much of what constitutes time and space is unknowable. So much goes on beyond our levels of consciousness that we just don’t have the ability to tap into. I’ve witnessed too many obscure things that can’t be explained by science or deductive reasoning; weird coincidences that just don’t seem even remotely possible; chance events that seem beyond chance and other strange occurrences.
So what do I know? Like Socrates is purported to have once said (I mean who knows, were any of us
I know that I don’t know (And neither do you) And that’s OK
