that its steps are mere “suggestions” and that you need not follow them to the letter. Then they will tell you that AA does not claim to be the only solution or that it even advances the idea that only it has the answers. Those are all lies and in the final paragraph I’ll prove it. In the meantime, let me share
with you what those 12 “suggestions” really imply….
1-We were told that we were diseased, weak and had zero capacity for self- control.
2-We were told that, individually, we had no ability to dictate or influence the direction of our lives or to influence any outcomes.
3-We were told to abandon our freewill and surrender any responsibility for making choices or decisions.
4-We were told that we were born sinners and must invent lies about ourselves.
5-We were told to confess said sins and endure a mental beatdown.
6-We were told to let the cult tell us what to do.
7-We were told to obey and question nothing.
8-We were told to find fault in ourselves where there was none.
9-We were told that we were always to blame, that we were less than and to continually beg for forgiveness.
10-We were told to continue the personal mental beat down and self-flagellation indefinitely.
11-We were told to make the cult and everything associated with it, our entire reason for being and to make it our entire life.
12-We were told to become active missionaries and recruit fresh victims for the cult.
What they fail to tell you is that these are not “suggestions” but LAWS and to break them means death.
Proof? From there Gospel unquestioned literature, the 12&12, page 174; “Unless each AA member follows to the best of his ability our “suggested” Twleve Steps to recovery, he almost certainly signs his own death warrant.”
So sure, you can “take what you want and leave the rest” and not follow the “suggestions”. See, who said that they take away your power of choice? You are free not to do any of these things so long as you don’t mind DYING!
Now let’s just take a final look at the BS line they will spew when they say that they don’t claim to have all the answers and that they never said they were for everyone……..
Do they not insist that “The only requirement for membership, is a desire to quit drinking”….. OK, let’s go with that. So wouldn’t you say that pretty much everyone who is seeking to overcome their alcohol dependency “has a desire to quit drinking”? So if I have that desire which would be quite normal if I wanted to get well and I walk down those basement steps to a meeting, I am automatically qualified as a member. Aha, but now suppose I decide that this isn’t for me, then what? Well then my friend, you are constitutionally incapable of being hones with yourself, are just another unfortunate and you are DEAD!!!!!
The real intent of the Steps, particularly #12, is to rope you into their little mindfuck cult for life.
